Bill Language
The Minnesota Health Act, SF 0008/HF 0051, was written by Senator John Marty, with input from legislative colleagues and health policy experts. The bill is similar in its clarity and simplicity to the National Health Insurance Act (HR 676), and adapts the single-payer universal health care model to the state of Minnesota. The bill insists on comprehensive, quality health care for all Minnesotans, regardless of health, employment, or financial status. Since its introduction in 2008, the Minnesota Health Act has earned the support of thousands of Minnesotans, and 1/3 of Minnesota legislators.
